Our annual International Party is a popular event. The idea for such an event as an international party emerged from a Parish Pilgrimage to Arbroath about three years’ ago. Discussions took place between Filippino and Scottish parishioners attending. It was thought a good idea to welcome new ethnic groups to a party in our Church Hall. This was later confirmed at a PC meeting.
As our Irish and Italian groups are already well established, it was decided that the newer Filippino, Indian, and Polish groups should be invited to share their culture and foods, with the Scottish group from our parish being the main hosting group. The organising committee was composed of members from each of different ethnic groups in the parish this year’s event took place on Friday 6th May.
